The Basque have won the Valley Kayaks Presents: 2011 World Championships of Surf Kayaking!
Congrats go out to the Basque Team and the people of their country back home. For those who are unaware, Basque Country is a region of Spain with world famous surf breaks such as Mundaka. The 2007 World Championships of Surf Kayaking were held in the Basque Country.
This team is unbelievably dedicated to the sport of Surf Kayaking and they truly deserve what they have earned.
Again, our congrats to the Basque team and their country.
The Individual World Championship Finals are to commence this morning, October 6th, 2011, here at Jennette’s Pier in Nags Head NC. The closing banquet and award ceremony is to be held tomorrow night, Friday the 7th, at Village Beach Club in Nags Head. The Oatmeal Conspiracy will be present to play music.
